Kat Maconie for Felder Felder SS12 Show

Once again Kat has teamed up with favourite womenswear designer Felder Felder for Spring/Summer 12. Kat created a stunning collection of customised shoes for the show, the colour palette featured bright blue metallics, as well as flesh tones along with Kat’s signature metal work detailing that complimented the Felder Felder pieces beautifully.

Kat always finds that it is such a pleasure to work with the Felder Felder girls, the catwalk show always works out to be so effortlessly brilliant. Check out a few of the pieces from the feminine yet tough collection from Felder Felder and Kat Maconie’s fierce statement heels.

The Shape Of Things To Come: New Sculpture

In search for inspiration for her next collection Kat recently visited the Saatchi Gallery, the contemporary art gallery located on King’s Road, for The Shape of Things To Come: New Sculpture exhibition.  The exhibition features 20 truly unique sculptors from around the world.

Kat fell in love with Sterling Ruby’s ‘Recondite.’  An absolutely amazing piece consisting of PVC pipe, plastic urethane, wood, aluminum and spray paint.

Kat took a close up of the paint detailing which almost resembles a dripping wax texture.  She is loving the color combo, very SS12.

Kat recently attended GDS, an international trade fair for shoes and accessories in Dusseldorf, Germany.  GDS is held every six months with 500 exhibitors from over 25 countries presenting their latest collections to importers, wholesalers and buyers.

Post Mistress Celebrates 10th Birthday

Autumn has finally come and the leaves are falling much to our dismay, it’s a shame we can’t wear our summer dresses anymore but we’ve got our new Autumn/Winter 11/12 collection and the Emily’s are the perfect Autumn staple.

Although it’s not quite Halloween yet, we couldn’t resist posting this pic. It’s a weird hybrid of our two favourite things, dogs and junk food! The Krispy Kreme Canine is our fav! Love it!

Last week Kat attended the FN PLATFORM – the shoe show at MAGIC in Las Vegas, which is the footwear industry’s united forum for designers to showcase their most recent collections.  Kat really enjoyed her time in Vegas meeting buyers from LA and San Fran who have some incredible shops.  They will both be selling the Kat Maconie Spring Summer 2012 collection.  Kat also met with Anthropologie – US and the ever so lovely Laura from Asos – UK!!

While in Las Vegas Kat managed to have a bit of free time to slip away to an amazing antiques warehouse.  The antiques were very ‘Vegas,’ as the items ranged from 1970′s Disney, Coca Cola and McDonald’s signs combined with lots and lots of bling and crystal.  Tons and tons of fun and very inspirational!!  It may not be your typical stop in Vegas, but if you are visiting at some point you should really check it out!! So many funky great finds!

Kat fell in love with this 1950s sequined bird broach and couldn’t help but treat herself.  She bought it in it’s original H. Macy and Co. box.  She cannot wait to flaunt her very exciting vintage find!!

Kat also managed to find this adorable Chewy Vuitton dog bed at a hotel gift shop!  If only it fit in her already over stuffed suitcase, it would have been the perfect present for her pup Dehila.
